Use foil for selected details such as a logo, name, border, or short accent. Small isolated areas usually read more clearly than large, highly detailed foil coverage.
Foil jobs require a separate mask that identifies exactly where foil will be applied. Use solid vector shapes and follow the file-preparation instructions on the product page. Keep foil elements away from trim and fold lines, and avoid very fine details that may not reproduce reliably.
